It?s business as usual at Heads Up Motorsports, and we?ve been super busy as of late.? Here?s just a few of the jobs that we?ve had in the shop this week:
Cameron brought us his 2004 BMW 330xi.? He?s been having several issues with the car, and decided to bring it to the pros!
The electronics on BMW vehicles are more advanced and complex than most makes and models, so it takes dedicated equipment to diagnose and repair them.? Heads Up Motorsports is the only independent shop in the area with the proper equipment to service your BMW!? Cameron?s 330xi was having intermittent electronic issues, and we?ve been able to diagnose the issue as a faulty LSZ (Lamp Switching Module).? As with most modules on BMW cars, the LSZ must be programmed to work with the vehicle.? This is usually a dealership only service, but Heads Up Motorsports is equipped to handle all programming in-house.
While Cameron?s car was off the road, he?s asked us to check on a pronounce ?Click? sound that he hears in the front end.? The 330xi is all wheel drive platform, and has CV axles on all four corners.? We?ve found a faulty CV axle that?s causing the noise, and we?ll be replacing that for him.
?
Next in the shop, Ira brought us her BMW 328i after it failed to start for her.
We?ve diagnosed the issue on Ira?s 328i as a faulty fuel pump.? We?ve replaced it, along with the fuel pump.
?
Doug brought us his VW Beetle for several repairs, including a new set of brakes.
?
Dale brought in his Mini Cooper.? He?s had an issue with the power steering working intermittently,? and several other shops have failed to repair the issue.? We?ve diagnosed the issue as a faulty power steering pump module and cooling fan.? The new parts are installed and reprogrammed, and the issues are cleared up.
?
Vincent?s 745i is in the shop.? He?s getting new brakes, and a transmission service.
?
Jimmie?s VW Jetta is in the shop for a few performance upgrades.? Heads Up Motorsports is a dealer for APR, Revo, and Neuspeed products.
